In what can only be described as a landslide victory, Marlon 'Malo' Webster took the 2007 Carib Soca Monarch title in Guyana on Sunday 18 February, with an energetic performance that got the nod from both the judges and the audience. When Malo, in a suit of shimmering gold, stepped onto the National Park stage to perform Give it to Me, the audience already seemed ready to give him the title.

Earning 455.5 points, Malo edged out the other fifteen performers, including the defending Monarch Adrian Dutchin, to capture the title and the first prize of GY$600,000 (approximately £1600). Wilbur 'Lil Man' Levans performed One For The Road to gain second place with 388 points, and won GY$300,000 (approx. £600) prize money.
