Few people have the good fortune, or should I say talent, to be a Jack of all trades and master of them all at the same time. One such talented woman is Michelle Miche Williams: she is a producer, writer and songstress, plus mother to daughter Heavyn, who is her main inspiration.
Michelle is Chief Engineer at Catalyst Soundezign Studios, and also holds the title of President/Director of Music & Video Productions there. Since the age of 17, when she started off in R&B, Michelle has proven that her skills are second to none. She takes control of her songs from start to finish, providing vocals for some, and producing, mixing and directing.
Maximus Dan, Gailann, Benjai, Khari Kill and many other Trinidadian acts have had the good fortune to perform some of her songs. Her hit list includes Trinidad, Pick D Shells, and soon to be released We Love We Soca. Pick D Shells has reached the top of the charts on Synergy TV (a cable music network in Trinidad) and the Punch Charts.
Michelle has proven to the world that she is a master (or mistress) of her art form - one that has been male-dominated, though she claims that that has never been an issue. According to her, Gender is really not an issue. Enjoyable music is. Catalyst is wrapping up production of its latest creation, Soca Rizin, produced by Michelle and Kasey Phillips, who joined in the production of two of the tracks. With all this on their plate, it seems that her team of passionate producers are still rising to every challenge.
Look out for Michelle in 2006 with Khari Kills Ghetto Chant, Benjai's Jah in Your Life, Gailann's Look Excuse, Always on My Mind (Breeze Riddim) by Vybe ft. Michelle Sylvester, Juicys Gone (Breeze Riddim) and Juicy ft. Fresh Life's Get This Party Started.
