Margarita best value in Caribbean, says UK's number on independent property website HotProperty.co.uk.

According to the website investors looking for overseas property will find it at a much lower price on the of Margarita, located 38 km off the coast of Venezuela alongside two other islands, Coche and Cubagua, than other places in the Caribbean.

"The scenery and the beaches are very nice and comparable to other places in the Caribbean and the real attraction is the prices," explained Justin Figgins, Overseas Director for the Association of International Property Professionals, before adding that these were just a "fraction" of the cost of properties on islands such as Barbados.

Figgins considers the only downside to be that compared to other Caribbean islands Margarita is not as easy to reach.
