Tobago based Katzenjammers Steel Orchestra became the new Pan in the 21st Century champions on Friday 18 April at the finals in the Queens Park Savannah.
While Arima's Marsicans captured the the top prize in the Pan Down Memory Lane contest, on the same night.
The victory is the second one for Katzenjammers in the Pan Trinbago competition, having tied with Neal and Massy Trinidad All Stars for the title four years ago.
Performing an Edwin Pouchet arrangement of Diana Ross' When You Tell Me That You Love Me to take home the TT$50,000 first prize with 276 points, ten points more than second place TCL Group Skiffle Bunch.
Last year's winner Silver Stars only managed to place fifth.
Marsicans won its first Pan Down Memory Lane title to take home the new TT$20,000 prize with 264 points for its performance of Benny Mardones' Into the Night, which was arranged by Marlon White.
