Chutney Soca refers to the collaboration of Chutney music on a Soca beat. The Chutney Soca Monarch is an annual event which showcases the performances of Chutney Artistes vying for a grand prize. The event is a good part of indian culture and expands Chutney music and culture holistically. Each stage is judged based on criteria, lyrics, performance and contenders are fewer. In the Finals, 15 Chutney Artistes compete. The first 10 contenders to place receive prizes. |
