This year will be the 23rd Leicester Carnival. At 12.45pm the Mayor will officially open the Carnival. The parade will start at 1pm till 5pm. Troops will go to the stage, where artists are performing. Main stage begins at 2pm. There is also a youth village where there is a stage, and there will be activities for children in the childrens village e.g- large funfair, bouncy castle ect. Steel bands will be participating and Calypso artists which are not yet confirmed.
This carnival attracts 100,000 people each year. There are food stalls and arts and crafts stalls which centre around the arena. The event finishes at 8pm.
We welcome everyone including visiting groups from all over the UK. |

Park - City Centre via different route to last time- back to the park, and then to the stage. |

Rail - Leicester Train Station, flags will follow the route.
Driving - London - M1, Junction 21, A5860 follow signs to city centre. Parking around the city.
