It is the 1000th anniversary of the county of Oxfordshire. It is also 200th anniversary of the abolition of slavery. The theme of the procession is fire. Cowley Road carnival is a reperesentation of the dversity of cultures in East Oxford, from Chinese dragon dancers to sound systems. |
