| About |
|
The day will see the third part of our carnival trilogy ‘Crossing Waters’. This continues the story of Liverpool’s participation in the transatlantic slave trade through the costume designs of award winning artist Ray Mahabir. The third installment ‘Dance of the Free Sprit, Resistance, Rebellion and Abolition’ marks 2007 as the bicentenary of the abolition of the slave trade in Britain. Carnival 2007 will see around 1500 costumed participants. |
